UI/UX Design - EdTech Startup “Aqylym”
In this startup project, "Aqylym," I designed a mobile application aimed at supporting children with special educational needs. The design process began with in-depth user and competitor research to identify key gaps in accessibility, engagement, and usability for neurodiverse learners. I developed a child-centered UI/UX design that balances simplicity with interactivity — using clear typography, calming colors, and story-based visuals to promote cognitive development. The interface was optimized for young users and their parents, with intuitive navigation, voice cues, and adaptive learning paths. The goal was to create an inclusive, supportive environment where children can build foundational skills while parents and educators track progress with ease.
As a result, our startup was featured at the international Stanford Neuroscience Forum, receiving high praise from leading experts. The startup also secured $5,000 in pre-seed funding from NURIS Incubation, one of Kazakhstan’s most prestigious startup incubators.
